Wanaume Swaziland kuvaa viatu vya wanawake

If you want to see men in high heels, Saturday will be the day.

An organisation known as Swaziland Young Women’s Network believes that having men literally walk in their shoes would help raise awareness on issues pertaining to the abuse of women.

They are holding a ‘Walk in our High Heels’ march to win the sympathy of the male species regarding violence against the fairer sex. Walking in stilettos, the Network said, would give men a taste of what it feels like to be a woman.

The march is scheduled to take place in Manzini. Tandzile Mhlanga said they will stage three events as part of the annual ‘16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence’.

"On November 26 (Saturday) we will have a ‘Walk in High Heels’ which will be a march that will cover a distance that is as much as walking from the Bosco Skills Centre to Jubilee Park," she said.
