Adebayor- Mourinho alinishawishi niende Spurs

Mshambuliaji Emmanuel Adebayor ametoa siri kwamba, kocha wa Rael Madrid 'The Special One', Jose Mourinho ndiye aliyemshawishi ajiunge Tottenham Hotspurs.

Nyota huyo wa zamani wa Arsenal 'The Gunners' amemshukuru Mourinho kwa ushauri huo kwa kuwa sasa 'anazipasia nyavu' kama hana akili nzuri.

Kijana huyo raia wa Togo aliihama Man City dakika za mwisho za msimu wa usajili, na tangu amekwenda White Hart Lane, anacheka na nyavu kama kawa.

Adebayor anasema, kama si ushauri wa Mourinho angeendelea kupigania namba Real Madrid lakini sasa ana uhakika wa kuwa katika first 11 ya Spurs.

Tottenham striker Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that it was on Jose Mourinho's advice he made the move to White Hart Lane.

With three goals in two games for Spurs following his transfer deadline loan switch from Manchester City, the Togolese striker has lived up to his star billing.

But the 27-year-old believes that if it hadn't been for the support of 'The Special One', he might've continued to push for a permanent deal at Real Madrid.

"I had discussions with Mourinho about the move," said Adebayor.

"He told me 'you should think about your career and if you have a chance to go to Spurs go out there, score goals and enjoy yourself again on the football pitch'.

"He is a good manager and I have always had respect for that man. Even when I came to Tottenham when I was sleeping I got a message from him.

"It is always nice to have a message from Jose Mourinho. He is a nice person and I wish him the best of luck in Madrid this season.

"Hopefully he will achieve his target, which is to win the Champions League and the league."
Meanwhile, the former Arsenal hitman believes Spurs boss Harry Redknapp has taken him under his wing in much the same way Mourinho had done.

Adebayor added: "I would say Harry [is similar] to Mourinho because of the way he treats players and gives you confidence.

"When I went to Madrid that is what I got.

"That sensation when Mourinho said: 'Adebayor we know you are creative, we know what you can do on the football pitch' and he said 'go out there and enjoy yourself - I cannot tell you go left or go round because you know what to do on the football pitch.

"I had the same discussion with Harry and he told me the same thing. For me as a footballer, that is what I need."
