ALEX FERGUSON has risked another FA rap by suggesting Manchester United are victims of a refs' conspiracy.

United now meet Chelsea in a title shootout next Sunday with Fergie "worrying" match officials could cost them glory.

Boss Fergie thought his side should have been awarded a late penalty yesterday and said: "We're not going to get the decisions in these big games, I'm afraid."

While United thought Michael Owen was fouled for a spot-kick at Arsenal, the Blues benefited from two wrong decisions in a 2-1 win over Tottenham on Saturday.

And now a Chelsea win at Old Trafford at the weekend will put them ahead of United.
Fergie said: "It gives Chelsea a major chance now. They got great decisions on Saturday.

"We never seem to get these kind of decisions. They seem to be getting them.

"They got one to win the league at Old Trafford last season so that's a worry. We go into these kind of games
worrying about these kind of things."

Fergie, just back from a five-match touchline ban, was referring to a Didier Drogba goal that was offside.

Arsenal should also have been given a first-half penalty yesterday when Nemanja Vidic handled but referee Chris Foy and his assistant failed to spot it.

Ferguson said: "For the first one, I think it was difficult for anyone to see that. A mere flick of the ball.

"You don't really expect the linesman or the referee to see that.

"But the Owen one was a clear penalty kick. He was definitely brought down."

Chelsea would go top of the Premier League as they have currently have the same goal difference as United.

Ferguson added: "It's a must-win game. Let's go and win it.

"That's the name of the game. We're at home. Our home record's fantastic."

United defender Rio Ferdinand told Twitter: "We never do it the easy way!"

But Gunners boss Arsene Wenger still thinks United will be crowned champions.

He said: "United still have the advantage, every year they win the title at Old Trafford."

Midfielder Aaron Ramsey scored the game's only goal in the 56th minute - his first Gunners strike since breaking a leg against Stoke last year.

Wenger said: "I'm very happy for him. The incident happened over 14 months ago but he looks now to be back to his best."

United, who host Schalke in their Champions League semi-final return on Wednesday, were far from their best though.

Ferguson admitted: "I don't think we started playing until we lost the goal.
