From
the very first time pencil artist Collins Okello came to the limelight,
we have dutifully been keeping tabs on him. A few months ago, we were
the first to run an article about a portrait of Obama the talented artist had been working on ahead of the U.S President’s visit.
Two months later, what we hoped would happen has happened. The Kisumu based pencil artist did not meet his ‘cousin’ but his work was delivered to POTUS and by the look on Obama’s face, he was truly amazed by the young lad’s talent.
President Uhuru Kenyatta presented the gifts at the State House on Saturday evening.
