Man graduates using his teeth

30-year-old Bulelani Kobe from Butterworth in the Eastern Cape, SA,  graduated with a diploma in office management and technology from Walter Sisulu University in Mthatha.

The inspirational man has one short arm and no legs, but that hasn't stopped him from going all out to achieve his dreams.

Bulelani said he applied at various tertiary institutions around the country after completing high school in 2005 but all doors were closed.

"The institutions didn't have the appropriate facilities, personnel and infrastructure to offer quality education to someone of my disability," said Bulelani.

"But I also met people who were willing to help make my journey a bit easier."

He was finally accepted to study at Walter Sisulu University in 2009.

Bulelani has one finger on a very short right arm which he uses to operate his electric wheelchair.

He holds a small rod tightly between his teeth to operate his computer.

"Getting this diploma is a step in the right direction. I ask people out there to put faith in me and open their doors when I come looking for employment," he said.
