Cellular network Vodacom has failed in its bid to quash a "Please Call Me" case in court.
Yesterday the court denied an attempt by the company to have the case set aside.
Former employee Nkosana Makate, claims he invented the free texting service-- Please Call Me – – in 2000.
His blamed his former boss, Philip Geissler, for stealing his idea and presenting it to management.
According to reports Geissler verbally promised Makate that he would facilitate remuneration negotiations with the company.
Now the former employee wants the court to compel Vodacom to discuss reasonable compensation for his idea.
