‘We’ve got goals from all around the team’

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain says Arsenal have the quality to share the burden of goalscoring this season.

Gervinho and Podolski have started the campaign brightly, scoring five and four times respectively, and both netted for the second successive Champions League game on Wednesday night.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is happy with the form of the pair, and hopes they can maintain it in the coming weeks.

“They’re brilliant players - they can score goals and we knew they were capable of it,” he told Arsenal Player.

“We see it in training and it’s brilliant for us that it’s coming out. Gervinho’s scored a lot of goals in the last few games so we hope he can keep it going.”

Oxlade-Chamberlain maintains there will be goals from all around the Arsenal squad, and he believes he needs to find the net more often.

“From set pieces you’ve got the likes of Vermaelen who can score goals, and obviously Santi [Cazorla] can always pop up with a good goal,” he said.

“Or myself, I need to get on the score sheet more often I think. Theo can score, so there’s goals all over the team. But it’s really good that those boys are doing well.”
