We were both young when Frank came from West Ham and we've learned together over the last 10 years.

Sometimes we'll have a joke about overtaking Chopper Harris but he played nearly 800 games for Chelsea.

That's a long way off. We know there will come a time when we're not needed any more but we never want to leave.

Hard work is not a phrase which does him justice. He's taken that to a whole new level. Sometimes you've had a really hard blow in training and come in feeling physically tired.

You look around and Frank's doing some sprints, or he's got one of the goalkeepers over and someone passing him a ball and he's having a touch and finishing. It's attention to detail.

Even today he's the same. It makes you want to train harder. He's inspirational. Frank and Gianfranco Zola are the best I've trained with.

He's barely missed a game over 10 years and scored so many goals. There are the important goals, like the ones at Bolton when we won the Premier League, or the one against Stoke a couple of years ago when we won it in the 94th minute. He never gives up.

You can always rely on Frank to find you a goal. And there are quality goals, like the one at home to Lazio.

Or the one against Bayern Munich, when he chested it down, spun around and volleyed it in with his left foot. That, for me, is one of the greatest Chelsea goals ever scored.

People asked if he really meant it. He meant it. I was in the middle waiting for a cross. To score in a Champions League final is an amazing thing.

It kept us in the game against Manchester United but he'll look back on it with mixed feelings. We all wanted to win it. Goals don't make up for that.

But the goal he scored in the semi-final against Liverpool to help us to Moscow, the character and belief he showed to play in the first place, then to step up and take the penalty. That for me sums up Frank as a player and a human being.
