We have seen Wayne and Coleen Rooney, John and Toni Terry and yesterday it was the turn of Robin Van Persie to show off his beautiful family on a sunshine break.

The Arsenal striker was seen splashing around in the sea with wife Bouchra, son Shaqueel and daughter Dina Layla, in what made for some touching family scenes.

The family are holidaying on the island of Formentera and yesterday the foursome spent some quality time together having fun in the crystal clear waters.

Robin, 27, appeared eager to explore the waters and enjoyed a spot of snorkling in the shallow parts of the sea.

Meanwhile his wife watched on with their adorable daughter in her arms.

And it seems that the temptations under the sea didn’t hold his attention for too long and the Dutch striker was seen kissing and cuddling his wife in an extremely affectionate way following his little underwater excursion.

Bouchra, 27, showed off her trim figure in a triangle top bikini with signature web by Gucci which retails at £280 and shielded her eyes from the sun in a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses.

Robin, who was wearing a pair of orange print Vilebrequin swimshorts, couldn’t keep his hands off his beautiful wife and was seen squeezing her hips as he stood behind her.

Later the footballer was seen lifting his daughter, who was dressed in a cute striped swimsuit covering her arms and legs, up from the water and high into the air.

The day before the couple had enjoyed seeing DJ Tiesto perform live and Robin had posted a number of pictures of the couple backstage and with the DJ to his Twitter feed.

While the couple, who have been together for eight years, are happy and relaxed now, they nearly split up several years ago after the footballer was accused of rap.
