A VARIETY of tools and gadgets will be presented at St Paul's Anglican Church in Brisbane this Sunday morning to celebrate the business end of the financial year. 

St Paul's assistant priest reverend Mark Vincent said everything from shovels, trolleys, mobile phones and tablets are welcome at the ceremony, reports Quest Newspapers.

The Thanksgiving Service marks the end of the financial year and celebrates the new and recognises the importance of everyday work in the lives of people whatever their employment situation.

Mr Vincent said he hoped the service would demonstrate the connection that the church has traditionally had with the work and lives of everyday people.

"Work is what people do and the service is based on Plough Sunday which is a medieval English celebration," he said.
