Beyonce has revealed that her younger sister Solange Knowles will never work with her as she wants to create her own success.Solange, who has forged a promising fashion career over the last year including working with Vogue, has never recorded music with her sister.
While her debut album Solo Star and the 2008 follow-up Sol-Angel and the Hadley St. Dreams failed to blow up commercially, Solange has managed to refrain from turning to her superstar sister for help.
"My sister will not record with me. She’s her own woman," Beyonce told the NY Times.
Solange herself says that witnessing Beyonce's fame has deterred her from pursuing the same life.
"I’m so proud. of her success, but I could not do that. It’s given me a pretty clear blueprint on what I don’t want to happen," Solange said.
Does Solange have the potential to become as big a star as Beyonce in the fashion world?
Vogue UK announced it and is calling Solange the “next big thing.”
First, she was a singer, then a DJ, a part-time actress and now a model? It seems like Solange is trying to find herself but hopefully she does.
