Wenger- Chezea Ozil wewe!

Arsene Wenger admitted the arrival of Mesut Ozil has flooded Arsenal with belief after watching the German mastermind a 2-0 Champions League victory over Napoli.

Ozil effortlessly buried Aaron Ramsey's cross for the opener and then provided the second for Olivier Giroud in a devastating opening 15 minutes for the Gunners at Emirates Stadium.

'The first half (he was) absolutely amazing, fantastic. His skill, his finishing, it's what you want to see in the stand when you come and watch football,' said Wenger.

'Ozil is like the team in that he had an outstanding first half that had everything you want to see from a great player.

'There was individual skill, team play, finishing and final ball. Just sit there and enjoy it.
'I loved him when he was at Madrid, I thought he was great there. We are lucky to have got him.

'He enjoys playing football and enjoys playing with his team-mates - he's integrated very quickly.

'We got so much stick at the start so now I'm cautious, but of course he's given belief to everyone around the club. Belief is part of success in football.'

The Italian side were feared as strong opponents, but they were swept aside with ease by the Barclays Premier League leaders.

'At home that first half is one of the best halves we've played in a long time,' Wenger said.

'It was a very enjoyable game with a fantastic first half, played at a great pace. There was belief and authority in our game. The finishing was great.

'The second half was more cautious but in patches when we went forward you could see the third goal was there.

Napoli manager Rafael Benitez was impressed by Ozil - but insisted he is only part of a high-quality Arsenal team.

'We have to win the next game. Marseille will be tough, but if we beat them we'll see what happens,' Benitez said.

'Arsenal did really well. They are a good team with a great manager and the atmosphere at the stadium is positive for them. Also we didn't play well.

'We knew that Ozil is a good player, but he's a good player in a good team.'
