Newlyweds Brett and Melissa Robb said on Facebook their two-tiered floral cake, made by a Geelong bakery, was unpresentable.
Images of the cake, posted on Facebook on Monday, have since attracted more than 1300 likes and 1300 shares,reported the Geelong Advertiser.
Mr Robb posted that the store had refused to refund the cake which cost the couple $290.
"If I'd known the outcome I'd gladly have paid more for something presentable," he posted.
"It wasn't even the right cake on the inside.
"The image speaks for itself."
The manager of the bakery, who asked for her name to be withheld, said lawyers had now been brought in to rectify the situation.
