MADCAP soccer star Mario Balotelli has insisted he is just a "normal guy" - revealing he loves to go the PUB.The multi-millionaire Manchester City striker – who landed himself in trouble last week when he visited a strip club before a game – said he prefers a trip to his local.
Interviewed by City fan Noel Gallagher, Mario played down tales about his extravagant lifestyle.
He said: "I don't care, they can say what they want. I just walk in town like a normal guy. I go to the pub."
Surprised Noel was left shocked the 21-year-old Italian would admit trips to his boozer – and land himself in more hot water with hardline boss Roberto Mancini.
Backtracking, Mario said he went to the pub but "not to drink".
He added: "I don't like when people talk about my business or my life. I'm really private. Maybe someone thinks I'm arrogant or something but it is just me."
But Mario told Noel he was starting to mature.
"But I'm 21, so I'm still young. I think from last year, already I'm bigger [older] in my head."
Mario – who rarely gives interviews - agreed to speak to former Oasis man Noel a self-confessed admirer of the player for the BBC's Football Focus.
Mario – who has told how he misses life in his native Italy – also told Noel he is only playing in Manchester because of boss Mancini.
He said: "If Mancini wasn't here, I never come here. But now that I'm here, I'm OK, I'm happy."
