But Fabregas, who left the club for a return to Barcelona in August, believes success is just around the corner.
‘If I can’t see Barca without Pep (Guardiola), I see Arsenal without Wenger even less,’ the Spain midfielder told Gazzetta dello Sport.
‘He has been there for 16 years, he is the only Arsenal coach I have known. It would be strange, very strange to see Arsenal without Wenger.
‘I feel sad when I see Arsenal lose. But in football things can change from one day to the next and I am sure that a great club like Arsenal will soon be back on track.’
