Mama wa watoto 3 anayetesa kwenye sumo

MUM Sharran Alexander is not only a British international sumo wrestler — she is the whole women's team.

The 32st, 6ft mum of three has won four gold medals after taking part in competitions worldwide.

She prepares for her fights by wolfing down high-calorie food.

Childminder Sharran, 46, said: "There's not many sports women my size can do, so when I found sumo six years ago it changed my life.

"I used to be ashamed of my size and wore unflattering clothes — but after taking up sumo up I learned to love my body."

Sharran, of Maida Vale, West London — a size 32 — added: "I used to train with the British women's team in Derby, but it no longer exists. I am the team!" She is set to train with the Japanese women's team this month.
