




The former International Monetary Fund chief had been enjoying his recently-won freedom with a night on the town accompanied by wife Anne Sinclair.
But the couple returned home to their Manhattan apartment to discover a problem with the lock which left them stuck outside for several minutes.
Eventually after struggling with the key and the group of photographers camped outside, Strauss-Kahn finally managed to get the door open and usher his rather embarrassed wife inside.
The French politician has been making the most of his freedom. On the weekend he celebrated his release from house arrest with truffles and fine wine in an expensive New York restaurant.
