Dada wa Ronaldo, Katia, na wakala wa mkali huyo wa soka, Jorge Mendes ndiyo mama na baba wa kiroho wa mtoto huyo aliyebatizwa siku ya birthday yake ya kwanza.

Kulikuwa na ulinzi mkali katika eneo lililotumika kwa shughuli hiyo, askari walikuwa wengi wakiwa na silaha.

The Real Madrid star had the service for Cristiano Jr at a military airbase, with airforce police wearing fatigues and carrying machine guns kept uninvited visitors away.

Ronaldo's model girlfriend Irina Shayk joined the celebration at a ­chapel at the Alcochete air base near Lisbon, capital of his home country of Portugal.

Kátia, Ronaldo's sister, and Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo's agent, was the godmother and godfather of Cristiano Jr.

After the ceremony, Ronaldo took his guests back to Kátia's house nearby for a party.

"The baptism was fantastic, beautiful. We wanted to share this moment with people we love," said Kátia.

And the Real Madrid footballer was taking no risks, by hiring armed military police to work as security guards outside the venue, reports say.

Despite Ronaldo not being spotted arriving at the Alochete base near Lisbon, his model girlfriend Irina Shayk, 25, was snapped alongside his sister Catia in a car.

The 26-year-old former Manchester United player organised baby Cristiano’s baptism to be held at the chapel at the airbase, followed by a party at his sister Catia’s house.

Ronaldo’s nephew Denis was also said to be baptised on the same day and Catia said: ‘The baptism was fantastic, beautiful.

Two cakes were seen arriving in the car for the celebrations, one with Cristiano's name on it and the other with the name Denis written in icing.
